“ Wheatake 39” Loyalty

“ Wheatake 39” Loyalty

Loyalty is the ability to put others before yourself and stick with them in good times and bad times. Show loyalty to your God, family, friends, and significant others by being honest, trustworthy, supportive, and generous. Maintain healthy boundaries with those around you so you can be loyal to them in a productive way.
As I reflect on this characteristic among B. V. Islanders, I find that our score is moderate. I have struggled with this characteristic from boyhood in my village. I experienced a veneer of loyalty and benesth that veneer demeaning derogative behaviour. My struggle was to be immerse in the environment but not submerged by it.
I have found joy and satisfaction in the loyalty of my students some with sixty years standing and still true and loving citizens.
In every walk of life you should strive to be loyal to God, family, friends, co-workers, bosses, leaders, managers, and the list goes on. Read the following quotes:
"Your truest friends are the ones who will stand by you in your darkest moments because they are willing to brave the shadows with you and in your greatest moments because they are not afraid to let you shine."
Nicole Yatsonsky.
"To have a caring and committment heart toward someone- a heart so firm in its devotion as to sooner stop beating than neglect the object of its desire, despite the person's state of health, appearance, reputation, finances, troubles, or challenges-that dear world is love, it is a rare find."
Richelle E. Goodrich.
"A friend is one that knows you as you are, understands where you have been, accepts what you have become, and still gently s
allows you to grow."
William Shakespeare
"Loyalty cannot be a blueprint. It cannot be produced on an assembly line. In fact, it cannot be manufactured at all, for its origin is the human heart- the centre of self-respect and human dignity. It is a force which leaps into being only when conditions are exactly right for it is a force very sensitive to betrayal."
Maurice E. Franks.
The lack of loyalty to one another and the lack of allegiance to our homeland have contributed to this political regression of the Territory. For some people it may be an overstatement and from your perspective that may be true for there have been pockets of loyalty and allegiance "par excellence" among us. I submit that the stronger force of disloyalty has overpowered those examples.
I will recommend the highest form of loyalty in God which is exemplified in the christian who is loyal to the one God revealed in Jesus and the Holy Spirit. For the christian, loving the Lord your God means being loyal to the Trinity against other conceptions of God. The true definition of loyalty is God who remains faithful even when we are faithless and forsake him.
"Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God, who maintains covenant loyalty with those who love him and keep his commandments for a thousand generations."
(Deut. 7:9)
The spostle Paul reminds us in Romans 8:35-39:
"For your sakes we are being killed all day long; we are counted as sheep to be slaughtered. No, in all these things we sre more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor heights, nor depths, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."
